The offline promise
Most money apps want a signal, a login and your financial history on their server. Kaskucing wants none of them.
Kaskucing does not declare Android's INTERNET permission.
That is not a setting you have to find, or a promise you have to take on trust. Android enforces it at the operating-system level: an app without that permission cannot open a network connection at all. What you earn, what you spend and what is left in each wallet stays on your phone.
It is also checked by the build itself. A release that picked up the permission from any library — even by accident, even deep in a dependency — fails to build rather than reaching Google Play.
What it does
Fast to write, honest to read
Most money apps are abandoned in week two, because recording costs more effort than the entry feels worth. Kaskucing is built around the first five seconds — and then answers the question at month end.
Five seconds, three taps
Amount, category, done. The keypad has a calculator built in, so 12000+3500 saves as one line — and "save and add another" keeps the wallet, category and date for the next one.
Every wallet in one book
Cash, bank, e-wallet, credit and paylater, savings. Move money between them with a transfer — which is counted as neither income nor expense, so it never inflates a total.
Categories already set up
Makanan, Transportasi, Tagihan and the rest are there on first launch. The picker floats the ones you actually use to the top, and a missing one can be made without losing the entry you're in the middle of.
Where the month actually went
Spending by category as a donut and a ranked list, income against expense month by month, and your five biggest outgoings. Tap any slice to see the exact transactions behind the number.
One income, four groups
Split what you earn between Needs, Recurring Needs, Flex Budget and Saving — by percentage, so the plan works whatever the month brings in. A warning arrives at 80% of a group, and again at 100%.
Rent and subscriptions post themselves
Set a rule once — daily, weekly, monthly or yearly — and let it run. Leave the app closed for a fortnight and every missed occurrence appears on its own date, not bundled onto today.
Backups you own
One file holds everything, and it goes wherever you point it — the phone, an SD card, WhatsApp, a cloud folder. Export to CSV for a spreadsheet, and restore by replacing or merging.
Yours to set up
Indonesian or English, light or dark, Rupiah formatted the way it is written here. Your month can start on any date, and one tap hides every figure when somebody is looking over your shoulder.

Recording within a minute of installing
- Install it and open itNo account to create, no code to verify, no email. A cash wallet and a set of Indonesian categories are already there, so the first entry needs no setup at all.
- Answer three questions — or skip themWhat wallets you have and what is in them, what you earn in a month, and how you want to divide it. Every one of them is skippable, and none of them blocks the first transaction.
- Record for a weekLog things as they happen — the point is that it costs seconds, not minutes. Backdate anything you missed; the date picker takes any day you like.
- Read the month, then back it upOpen the report at month end and see where it went. Write a backup file and keep it somewhere safe, or send it to yourself.

Frequently asked
Do I need an internet connection?
No — and you couldn't give it one if you tried. Kaskucing has no INTERNET permission, so every feature works with the phone in airplane mode.
Is there an account or a subscription?
Neither. There is nothing to sign up for, nothing to log into and no server behind the app. No feature is held back behind a payment.
Does it read my bank SMS or connect to my accounts?
No, and that is deliberate. Reading transaction SMS needs a permission that can see every message on the phone, and connecting to an account needs the internet. Every figure in Kaskucing is one you entered yourself, which is also why it can be trusted.
Can I keep cash and my e-wallets apart?
Yes. Make a wallet for each — cash, bank, GoPay, OVO, a credit card — and each keeps its own balance. Moving money between them is a transfer, which is left out of income and expense totals so your figures stay honest.
What happens to my data if I change phones?
Export a backup file from Settings and import it on the new phone. Send it to yourself over WhatsApp or save it to a cloud folder — it is an ordinary file, and it is yours.
Can I get my data out of the app?
Yes. A full backup as one JSON file, or your transactions as a CSV that opens in Excel or Google Sheets. Both write to a location you pick.
How do I delete everything?
Wipe it from inside Settings, behind a double confirmation — or uninstall the app, which removes the database permanently. Backup files you made yourself are yours to delete separately.
Your money is nobody else's business
Kaskucing keeps it that way. Install it once and it works — at the warung, on the bus, with the data quota long gone.
